The Scriptures:
We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God presenting us with the complete revelation of His plan for the salvation of man.
The Godhead:
We believe our God is a trinity in unity, manifested in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Man, His Fall and Redemption:
Man is a created being in the image and likeness of God. Through Adam’s transgression and fall, all have sinned and come short of God’s Glory. (Romans 3:23)
Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ the only Begotten Son of the Father excepted earthly limitations, completely God and completely man; conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary, came into this world to undo the work of Satan. He gave His life and shed His blood as the Sacrificial Lamb of God upon the cross to redeem and restore man back to God. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures and is now seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us as our great High Priest. He will return again to establish His eternal kingdom of righteousness and justice.
The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, Executive of the Godhead on earth, the Comforter sent by the Lord Jesus Christ to indwell, to guide, and to teach the believer, and to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment.
Salvation:
Salvation is made possible through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross and through Holy Spirit conviction. Romans 10: 9 –10 (Amplified Bible) “Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus Christ is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms {his} salvation.
Church:
The true Church is the Body of Christ (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:15), He being the Head. Its earthly constituents are all true believers from all nations, born again by the Spirit (John 3:6) and by the Word (1Peter 1:23).
To it is delegated the various gifts and offices of the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 12:7-11 and 27, 28) necessary for the successful fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission to the Church, as given to the disciples in Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15-20.
Ministry:
God, through the Holy Spirit, definitely calls those such as He desires to serve as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (Ephesians 4:11). These five ministry gifts are for the “Perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12)
Water Baptism:
Baptism in water is by immersion, and is a direct commandment of the Lord (Matthew 28:19), and is for believers only. Baptism in water does not save you. This is an ordinance that is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39) We do not adhere to the teachings that you must be baptized in water to enter heaven. We do believe that baptism in water is a direct command of our Lord and Savior is an outward symbol of your confession of faith in Him.
Baptism of the Holy Ghost:
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire (Matthew 3:11), is a gift from God, as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation, and is received subsequent to the new birth. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 2:4, 38-39: 10:44-48). The Baptism in the Holy Ghost is most often accompanied with the speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance, as the initial physical evidence. (Acts 2:4).
(There will be a whole series of lessons on the nine Gifts of the Spirit as presented in 1 Corinthians 12 which will further explain the Baptism in the Holy Ghost)
This is an overview of our Statement of Faith and Doctrinal beliefs. There is so much more to learn and understand about the working of the Holy Spirit in the Body of Christ but we must all remember that Salvation through the Blood Sacrifice of Jesus Christ is first and foremost the main theme of this ministry. The lessons that we will go through are to help bring growth and maturity to the Body of Christ that we may bring others to the knowledge of Salvation.
